Dr. Sandra Suarez-Sharp, Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for Simulations Plus, obtained her bachelor's degree in Industrial Pharmaceutical Chemistry in 1989 from National School of Biological Sciences, IPN, Mexico. She worked for Johnson and Johnson Mexico for 5 years as a research and development engineer. In 1994, she joined the Department of Pharmaceutics, School of Pharmacy, University of Florida, Gainesville, FL, USA as a graduate student and obtained a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 1997. She spent two years at UNC Chapel Hill as a postdoctoral fellow. She worked at the US FDA for more than 20 years supporting the offices of clinical pharmacology and the division of biopharmaceutics. She joined Simulations Plus in March 2020 as the vice president of regulatory affairs. Dr. Suarez-Sharp has a large number of publications related to the areas of dissolution, in vitro-in vivo correlations, establishment of specifications with clinical relevance, and physiologically-based biopharmaceutics modeling (PBBM).
