Aishwarya Ravi is a Biopharmaceutics Research Scientist, in the Global Drug Product Design Group at Pfizer. She worked previously at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories in Hyderabad, India as a biopharmaceutics modeling and simulation scientist. She conducted biopharmaceutics risk assessment for oral solid dosage forms through physiologically based biopharmaceutics modeling and simulation (PBBM). Additionally, she utilizes state-of-the-art tools to mechanistically understand and design the most suitable drug product that achieves biopharmaceutics attributes and meets the development timelines, Recently she published a paper in Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences that describes the use of PBBM as a surrogate to bioequivalence trials for an extended-release tablet. She has also extrapolated her work to identify critical material attributes that affect the rate and extent of absorption of the drug product to establish safe space.
Aishwarya has gained expertise in modeling and simulation over the past 3 years and has hands-on experience on software such as GastroPlus, Phoenix WinNonlin, Pumas, R studio, DDD+. In addition to her modeling and simulation work, she was a representative speaker for Women in STEM in her previous organization.
