Many STEM professionals are offered career guidance by mentors. Other STEM professional may also engage a career coach. It is the exceptional STEM professional who enlists the support of a Career Board of Directors composed of a mentor, coach, advocates, sponsors, influencers and key stakeholders. This workshop explores how to approach, request and implement an intentional career plan successfully with distinct advantage of a Career Board of Directors.

Learning Objectives:

Define and distinguish between the roles of mentor, coach, advocate, sponsor, influencer and key stakeholder in designing a Career Board of Directors.
Identify who and how to approach a Career Board of Directors.
Practice how to ask potential Board of Directors to ensure sustainable support throughout the attendee's career.
