Post Doctoral
Long Island University
Dr. Sharareh Senemar is a postdoctoral fellow in the field of dermal pharmacokinetics at Long Island University, NY. She obtained Pharm.D degree in pharmacy from Iran and Master of Science in Industrial Pharmacy and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics and Drug Design at Long Island University. She is the lead research fellow on an FDA-granted project titled "Elucidating Fundamental Principles of Dermal Pharmacokinetics via Microdialysis" to investigate the profound science of skin pharmacokinetics. She also collaborated with FDA through provided grant “Benchmark of Dermis Microdialysis to assess Bioequivalence of Dermatological Topical Products”, to investigate bioavailability and bioequivalence of topical dermatological products by microdialysis through numerous preclinical studies. She has been awarded “AAPS Best Abstracts” and nominated for “AAPS Best Poste”r awards in 2019 and 2021. Sharareh as a member of LIU AAPS Student Board received 1st place in 2019 AAPS Student Chapter Award. She serves as a member of the AAPS Topical Transdermal board and a member of the topical transdermal drug product at US Pharmacopeia. She is also a member of Rho Chi Society-Beta Theta Chapter and Microdialysis Focus Group. She investigates dermal bioavailability and bioequivalence of topical dermatological drug products and her research supports the application of basic pharmacokinetics principles in the assessment of bioavailability and/or bioequivalence of topical products in animals and humans using dermal microdialysis.
