Professor
Inje University, Republic of Korea
Man-Su Kim is a Professor of College of Pharmacy at Inje University. He obtained his B.Sc. and M.S. degrees at Seoul National University in Seoul, Korea and Ph.D. degree in Pharmacology at the University of Iowa in the laboratory of Dr. Yuriy Usachev. For his doctoral dissertation with Yuriy Usachev, he studied regulatory mechanisms of Ca2+ -dependent transcription factor NFAT (Nuclear Factor of Activated T-cells) in sensory neurons, focusing on the roles of mitochondria and signaling pathways triggered by neurotrophins on modulating NFAT activity. He finished his postdoctoral training in Dr. Kapahi’s lab at Buck Institute for Research on Aging in Novato, CA where Man-Su has been working on a developing invertebrate nephrolithiasis model.
