Graduate Student
University of Iowa
I am Sanika Jadhav, a second year graduate student (PhD) at the college of pharmacy, University of Iowa in Dr. Lewis Stevens lab. I am a passionate and dedicated researcher with research interests in formulation development, preformulation screening, solid-state pharmaceutics, and solid oral dosage forms. Currently, I am studying different factors affecting cocrystal solubility for BCS class 2 drugs. Moreover, I am also investigating the effect of mechanical stress on SH-SY5Y cells phenotype which might be imperative in various neurodegenerative disorders. I have hands-on experience with various instruments such as HPLC, Spray drying, PXRD, DSC, FTIR, and NMR. At this conference, I am going to present surprising results about coamoprhous systems, from the side project I carried out in the first year of PhD. This research work explains about physical stability of coamorphous systems (up to nine months) considering distinct environmental factors. I would appreciate if you could stop by my poster to discuss these interesting findings on Wednesday at 11:30 PM (Poster number: W1130-07-38). I am looking forward to interact with everyone and to learn more about interesting work from other scientists.
