PhD student
Trinity College Dublin, Ireland
My name is Monika Myślińska, I have received my MPharm degree from the Medical University of Warsaw in Poland, and currently I am a 4th year PhD student in Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. I started my PhD in the EPSRC-SFI Centre for Doctoral Training in Transformative Pharmaceutical Technologies from SSPC in 2019. I am focused on studying ways of improving solubility of poorly soluble compounds by formulating amorphous solid dispersion using different manufacturing processes. Before undertaking this PhD project in Trinity College Dublin, during my first degree I did summer internships at the universities in France and in the UK. I also carried out research for my master thesis during the Erasmus exchange at the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne in France. I was studying there the impact of different process and formulation parameters in the preparation of microcapsules on their final release rate profile. Each of these experiences allowed me to meet and learn from great professionals, as well as, my fellow CDT colleagues which made my PhD a very interesting journey.
