Atanu Das earned his PhD in Pharmaceutical Science with concentration to Industrial Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics and Drug Delivery) from St. John’s University in September 2022. His doctoral dissertation title was “Arginine Coated Self-Emulsifying Nanoglobules for Nasal Delivery of Insulin”. His research activities are focused on peptide drug delivery and analysis, nanoformulation development and characterization, cell culture and pharmacokinetic parameter analysis upon parenteral and nasal delivery. His technical skills and knowledge include: lyophilizer, circular dichroism spectrophotometer, HPLC, UV-VIS spectrophotometer, ultrasonic homogenizers, particle size and zeta potential analyzer, size exclusion chromatography, centrifugal ultrafiltration, ELISA. Bradford assay, gel electrophoresis, cell culture – cytotoxicity and permeability, intraperitoneal, subcutaneous, intranasal and vaginal delivery. He served as a Graduate Teaching Fellow in St. John’s University and taught and conducted undergraduate lab sessions.
