Sounak Bagchi has a Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) from Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi, India, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC), Amarillo, Texas. His research experience is in Molecular Biology, Drug Delivery, and Pharmacology. He is familiar with in-vitro, in-vivo, formulation, and bioanalytical procedures. Using LC-MS/MS, he investigates the pharmacological regulation of monoamines/neurotransmitters in mice to increase motor recovery after an ischemic stroke. Previously, he had experience in designing novel anti-HIV drug-loaded exosome nano-formulations for targeting Central Nervous System (CNS) HIV-1 infection. In addition, he has given several presentations and garnered awards for his research efforts. He presently serves as the Chair of the TTUHSC, Amarillo, student branch of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS).
