When presented with a tooth with a poor or hopeless prognosis, what is the best course of action to take? An immediate implant placement is a viable and successful strategy when implemented in the right cases. It can reduce treatment time, number of surgeries, cost, and provide patients with an efficient and comfortable treatment compared to conventional modalities. In some cases such as the anterior, it can result in superior esthetics by preventing excess tissue remodeling.
