Make effective molar section cuts when needed. Correctly use instruments common to OMS residencies. Know how to remove root tips (quickly) to avoid future problems with implants. Use a handpiece that is not prone to complications. Suture in 30-60 seconds with short tails (2 cm) and without touching non-sterile surfaces.
Learning Objectives:
Select appropriate exodontia cases commensurate with the dentist's ability.
Perform extractions more quickly.
Select and use the best and most effective surgical insturments.
Have a better understanding of oral anatomy relating to the extraction of teeth, such as with nerves and blood vessels.
