Supervisory Diversion Investigator Craig Tom began his career as a Diversion Investigator with the Drug Enforcement Administration in 2010. Mr. Tom was assigned to the Sacramento District Office upon graduation from the DEA Academy. In 2014, Mr. Tom transferred to the Seattle Field Division where he currently supervises Diversion Investigators, Registration Program Specialists, and investigative support staff in the Seattle Field Division Office. Mr. Tom’s investigations resulted in over 30 federal and state arrests, 6 being physicians or pharmacists, and over $5 million in civil penalties paid to the government. Mr. Tom graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a B.S. in Business Administration in 2009. Mr. Tom is also a Certified Fraud Examiner.
Mr. Tom was case agent on United States v. Sami Anwar where the defendant was convicted of 47 counts and sentenced to 28+ years in federal prison for his role in a clinical trial fraud scheme.
