Oral healthcare providers (OHCPs) have never been strangers to stress, anxiety, and depression. Yet, during the COVID-19 crisis we presently face, the psychosocial cost is even higher. Just as flight attendants tell us, “…put on your oxygen mask before helping others,” OHCPs must first sustain their own mental well-being because anxiety and depression take a toll on emotional and physical health, and consequently, patient care. This course explores the stress-anxiety-depression continuum, how to identify these things in ourselves and others, and ways to help us sustain mental wellbeing. Please join us for this timely and long overdue course.
