Thursday, November 10, 2022
10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
CE Credits: 1.5
There is a plethora of bonding agents, composites, cements and bioactive materials on the market. This program reviews new materials and techniques in an effort to help improve our treatment outcomes. Questions are arising as to the longevity and appropriateness of our current resin systems and bonding agents - we'll take a look at bioactive restorative alternatives to help with the limitations we see with our restorative and luting needs. We'll review composite layering techniques, discuss universal bonding agents, cementation and bioactives, and how they can help us produce more long-lasting protective restorations as well as improve our bonding results.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participant will be able to describe what bioactive dental materials are and how they work.
Upon completion, participant will be able to understand how to incorporate bioactive dental materials in practice.
Upon completion, participant will be able to explain why resin bonded restorations and bonding systems are being questioned by researchers.
Upon completion, participant will be able to select cementation protocols for various restorative needs.
Upon completion, participant will be able to explore composite layering techniques for highly esthetic anterior restorations.
