There is a plethora of bonding agents, composites, cements and bioactive materials on the market. This program reviews new materials and techniques in an effort to help improve our treatment outcomes. We'll cover advances in composite materials including bulk-fill composites, and the curing lights we use to cure them. We'll review composite layering techniques, discuss universal bonding agents, cementation and bioactive materials, and how they can help us produce more long-lasting protective restorations as well as improve our bonding results. This hands-on workshop will provide attendees the opportunity to gain experience with different types of direct restoratives and bioactive materials. Composite layering, single shade applications, and simple effects will be included.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participant will be able to define traditional and bioactive dental materials.
Upon completion, participant will be able to assemble and place needed adjuncts for direct restoratives including matrices.
Upon completion, participant will be able to demonstrate effective technique using bioactive and adhesive dental restorative materials.
Upon completion, participant will be able to construct esthetic anterior layered composite restorations.
Upon completion, participant will be able to perform quick, effective restoration finishing & polishing.
