2020 and 2021 were very challenging times for the water heater industry. COVID, supply chain and logistics were all significant challenges for the industry. Electronic chips and a few other components are still an issue, but overall things have improved from where the industry was 1 year ago.

Looking forward there are potentially significant changes required by regulatory bodies. As we have seen a move toward electrification, there is a need for utilities to have a more flexible load as they shift energy production to renewable energy.
