Kelly Gray has over 35 years of pediatric and neonatal critical care experience with 31 years dedicated to congenital heart critical care. Holding an MSN in nursing administration as well as being CCRN certified, she has served as the pediatric cardiac nurse educator for 12 years, impacting not only the CICU, but also all areas of the hospital which care for congenital heart patients. She combines didactic formal teaching with teaching at the bedside, being directly involved in bedside care for the most optimal learning environment. She has worked at Medical City Children’s Hospital for over 23 years and was named as a DFW Great 100 Nurse in 2012. Kelly firmly believes education is key to providing excellence in all areas of the care given to our congenital heart patients, empowering our present and future generation of nurses, through education, as a lifelong passion.
