Leslie Rhodes, MD, MBA, is an Associate Professor in the pediatric cardiac intensive care unit at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. She also serves as the CVICU fellowship director. She obtained her medical degree at the Universtiy of Mississippi Medical center and went on to complete her pediatric residency at the University of Alabama, Birmingham (UAB) and her PICU fellowship at both Vanderbilt University and the UAB. She completed her CVICU training at UAB where she has continued on as an attending physician. As an attending in the CVICU she has focused on improving outcomes through improving bedside education and simulation. Additional interests include xenotransplantation and translational research focused on understanding labortatory and vital sign patterns.
