Parent Ambassador
Nicklaus Children's Hospital, Florida, United States
As mom to McKenna Lewis, a young Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) survivor, Stephanie is a passionate advocate for families with babies born with congenital heart disease. As a voice for McKenna since before she was born, Stephanie has committed her life to helping kids like McKenna and their families. Inspired by her own experiences in and around hospitals, she became a Parent Ambassador for Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, raising over $100,000.00 for the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and Heart Program. Stephanie was also nominated as a Woman of Impact Nominee with American Heart Association in 2022, and raised over $20,000 in support of lifesaving research through that organization.
As a “Heart Mom”, Stephanie has supported numerous CHD families through their journeys, leveraging social media to lead online discussions and forums for families like her own across the United States and Canada. She also volunteered as a leader and spokesperson in the American Heart Association Heart Walk, helping to raise awareness on behalf of families navigating CHD and life as medical families. During the day Stephanie works full-time in business operations for Okeechobee Steakhouse and their sister restaurants throughout Palm Beach County. With her husband and two children, Stephanie enjoys family trips to Seaworld and watching the Florida Panthers. Go Cats!
