Cailyn Rood is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Cardiology and Attending Physician in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Boston Children's Hospital. She completed her pediatric critical care fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital in June 2020 and an advanced fellowship in cardiac critical care at the Medical College of Wisconsin/Children's Wisconsin in June 2021. Her academic interests are in simulation education, resuscitation science, and systems improvement. Her primary scholarly activity describes communication during simulated multidisciplinary extracorporeal membrane oxygenation events, and her on-going quality improvement work centers on resuscitation in the CICU.
