Kim Woodall-Williams is the Director for Advanced Practice Providers at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA). She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Mississippi and her Master of Science in Nursing from Emory University. Kim has over two decades of experience as a nurse and advanced practice provider working in critical care settings, primarily caring for children with congenital heart disease. Recognized as a national leader, she is currently the Director of Advanced Practice at Children’s, leading a team of 500+ Advanced Practice Providers in multiple specialties across a three- hospital system. In her previous role in the heart center, Kim managed over 50 advanced practice providers from the operating rooms to outpatient clinics. Under her tenure as Children’s Heart Center APP Director, APP clinical and academic productivity flourished. Ms. Woodall cultivated an APP model of care that encouraged professional growth and development, while delivering high-level, exceptional clinical care. As part of the development process for leaders, Kim promotes an educational enterprise that enables all members of her team to become clinical experts in their specialty. Ms. Woodall’s philosophy is to focus on providing the highest quality of care, for patients, their family members, and the interprofessional team. In addition to her academic degrees, Ms. Woodall has a Lean Six Sigma White belt certification.
