University of Maryland Medical Center
Towson, Maryland, United States
Casey Bor has been working in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner since 2008 and 2014. She started her career at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC where she was lucky to be trained by some of the best cardiac ICU nurses in the country. She moved to Baltimore for an NP position at University of Maryland Medical Center where she joined a stellar team of experienced APPs to support a growing program. While she loves working in this field, she recognizes the emotional and mental toll it can have on the Nurses and Advanced Practice Providers caring for these patients and families. In pursuit of her own resilience, she completed a yoga teacher training in 2019. She is passionate about sharing wellness and resilience strategies for fellow health care workers in the pediatric CICU and transforming the culture of healthcare so this work is sustainable for a lifetime. Casey is also an EPIC Systems Physician Builder. She uses this skillset to improve eletronic medical record workflows for the bedside providers to reduce time spent using the EMR and improve safety and communication.
