Yaeji Kim has been a Registered Nurse for eight years specializing in Pediatric Cardiac ICU care at hospitals including, Stanford Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, UCSF Benioff, UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital, and Phoenix Children's Hospital. She is currently working as a bedside CVICU RN full time, runs @chd_doodles, and is enrolled in Rush University's Pediatric Acute Care DNP program.
She is the co-author and illustrator for the workbook, CHD Doodles: A Workbook on Congenital Heart Disease. Additionally, she's built a social media presence via the Instagram account Chd_doodles where she focuses on illustrating complex lesions. She now uses this platform to educate CVICU bedside professionals, parents, and patients and to also empower nurses to be strong patient advocates!
