Loren D. Sacks, MD is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at Stanford University. After training in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and Pediatric Cardiovascular Critical Care at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford, Dr. Sacks was appointed to the faculty of the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit in 2015. Since his appointment, Dr. Sacks has pursued clinical research focused on mechancial cardiovascular support, heart failure/transplant, and the use of novel educational modalities (i.e.- Simulation and Virtual Reality) within the cardiovascular intensive care unit. Dr. Sacks currently serves as the Program Director for Stanford's Advanced Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiovascular Critical Care, is the Education Director for the Stanford Pediatric CVICU, and is the Co-Chair of PCICS's Committe of Advanced Fellowship Program Directors.
