Nurse Practitioner

I recently started my career as a nurse practitioner in May of 2020 at Texas Children’s Hospital in the cardiac intensive care unit. My passion for caring for critically ill children began as a bedside nurse in 2014. Since then my goal of providing scientifically based as well as compassionate care to my patients and their families has only grown more important to me. Most recently I became involved in a quality initiative to decrease our unit’s rate of cardiac arrest. As a novice APP I am still working on obtaining a strong clinical practice background, while exploring where my non clinical specific interests may lie. I hope to become more involved within both my current unit as well as outside of TCH within the next year. I recognize that a strong clinical skill set as well as non-clinical interests are both important to my development as an APP and can only improve the care I provide my patients.
