Welcome

On behalf of the Society and the members of the Program Committee, we would like to welcome you to the 18th Annual International Meeting of the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society in Miami Beach, Florida! We’ve designed an exciting multidisciplinary program that focuses on clinical and research innovations within the field of pediatric cardiac critical care. Below are some highlighted themes to be presented by our esteemed, invited faculty.

Preconference sessions

o    Bedside Nursing, Advanced Practice Provider and Fellow Bootcamp
o    Cardiac ECMO Nuts and Bolts
o    Nutritional Support: New Approaches to Old Problems

Plenary Sessions

o    Centers of Excellence, Regionalization, and Transparency
o    The Experienced Bedside Nurse: Rescuing an Endangered Species
o    Innovation, Translation and Collaboration: Recent Advances and Scientific Work from PCICS

Numerous breakout sessions will address other hot topics in our field. This year’s meeting will once again feature multiple oral abstract presentation sessions as the footprint of PCICS continues to grow in the research landscape.

The closing session on Sunday will explore our understanding of how our teams make complex decisions with case-based discussions, audience participation and a simulated surgical management conference.

We look forward to seeing all of you in Miami Beach this December!

Sincerely,
