Dr. Jacknin is a board-certified dermatologist, author, national speaker, and consultant, with expertise in holistic dermatology, natural cosmeceuticals, and topical hemp and cannabinoids for beauty and health. She is the first dermatologist and top expert in the science behind CBD for beauty and skin disorders. She is the author of the first holistic dermatology 400 pg. book Smart Medicine for Your Skin, published by Penguin Putnam in 2001. Dr. Jacknin has given over 55 presentations at national trade shows and Dermatology Grand Rounds. Dr. Jacknin became interested in hemp, CBD, and cannabis topically in 2016. Dr. Jacknin was the first dermatologist to speak on the science behind topical cannabinoids and skin disorders at the AAD conference in February 2018. She spoke at 12 cannabis related conferences from 2016 to 2019 and 3 virtual conferences in 2020. She spoke at the Cannabis Science Conference on cannabinoids in 2022 and plans to speak at Painweek in Sept 2022 on cannabis and cannabinoids for pain and different newer cannabinoids. She is scheduled to speak virtually at the AIHM on cannabinoids in the fall 2022. She has been interviewed by Vogue, New Beauty and The New York Times and is brand ambassador for Medterra CBD.
