Laura Meyer-Junco is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Clinical Pharmacist at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) College of Pharmacy in Rockford, IL, joining UIC in 2012. She received her PharmD degree from Purdue University and completed a first-year residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center in New York as well as a Geriatric Specialty residency at the Durham VA in North Carolina. Dr. Meyer-Junco practices as the clinical pharmacist for St. Croix Hospice and for the hospice and palliative care program at Mercyhealth in Rockford, IL. She teaches in the geriatric and pain curriculum at UIC and precepts fourth year pharmacy students on their internal medicine rotation at Mercyhealth Hospital. In December 2021, Laura also transitioned into the role of editor-in-chief of the Journal of Pain and Palliative Care Pharmacotherapy
