Dr. Oluwatobi O. Hunter is an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Healthcare System and faculty for the Stanford Medicine Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine Fellowship. She obtained her bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing and master's degree at Columbia University in New York City. She then returned to the University of Pittsburgh to earn her Doctorate in Nursing Practice. She is a board-certified Pain Management Nurse and a DEA X-waivered provider. Dr. Hunter is the Lead Nurse Practitioner for the Anesthesiology and Perioperative Care Service at the VA Palo Alto. Her areas of practice include Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine and the Transitional Pain Service. Her interests include complementary and alternative medicine, perioperative pain management, inpatient buprenorphine induction, and acute pain management in patients with complex pain and/or substance use disorders. Dr. Hunter is certified in Battlefield Acupuncture.
