Marjan Farid, MD is an Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology, the Director of the Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Surgery Division, and the Vice Chair of Ophthalmic Faculty at the University of California, Irvine. She received her degree from the University of California, San Diego in 2002 and completed her residency and fellowship at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Farid is Board Certified in Ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology and has received several awards and recognitions, such as the ISOV Award for Outstanding research and was named Best Doctors in America® for Ophthalmology for multiple years in a row. Her research interests include corneal transplantation, lamellar keratoplasty, femtosecond laser, limbal stem cell transplantation, artificial cornea, Boston keratoprosthesis, ocular surface disease, dry eye disease and cataract innovations.
