Jennifer Menard serves as the Vice President of Economic and Business Development at Bristol Community College and oversees the National Offshore Wind Institute (NOWI), a state-of-the-art industry training and educational institute in the city of New Bedford. The NOWI will provide the U.S. with comprehensive strategies to accelerate and support the next generation of workforce and the supply chain programs as well as ensure the local and regional workforce has the skills, competencies, and certifications required for careers in offshore wind industry. Under Jennifer’s leadership, the NOWI will be a one-stop location for the industry's workforce needs including Health and Safety programs, such as Global Wind Organisation (GWO) training; a comprehensive portfolio required accreditation and skill development for the workforce pipelines; as well as offering proprietary training labs to the private sector. Jennifer has developed offshore wind initiatives focusing on diversity, equity, and inclusion, such as the NOWI Speaker Series: Equity in Offshore Wind and the WIndWorks for You program highlighting career pathways into offshore wind. Jennifer has been engaged in the offshore wind sector since 2008 with a focus on renewable and clean energy.
