Chris Hooper is a Senior Naval Architect at Crowley Engineering Services. Chris specializes in marine and ocean engineering and naval architecture and is currently developing simulation tools and techniques to model marine transportation systems to install offshore wind farms.
Much of Chris’s work has focused on numerical analysis for fluid dynamics, vessel motions analysis, roll reduction, and mooring analysis using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and radiation-diffraction methods. He has experience using various engineering software including StarCCM+, OrcaFlex, AQWA, Abaqus, and ProteusDS/ShipMo.
Chris received his BS in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Webb Institute in 2011 and his Professional Engineer license in 2020.
In his free time, Chris enjoys hiking, mountaineering, and camping with his family.
