Amber Hewett is the National Wildlife Federation’s Offshore Wind Energy Program Director. She started her career in NWF’s National Advocacy Center in Washington, DC before returning to her hometown of Newburyport, Massachusetts to focus specifically on advocating for the responsible development of offshore wind power. For the past decade, she has worked to advance state and federal policies that will both help launch a robust U.S. offshore wind industry and ensure wildlife, habitat, and communities are protected throughout every stage of development. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in Earth Systems.
