At the Laboratory, Dr. Krishnamurthy is leading a multidisciplinary team of atmospheric and oceanic scientists to better understand the offshore environment for wind energy applications, which is critical to energy and national security needs. He is also an instrument mentor for the Doppler lidars within DOE’s Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) Program. He is currently the principal investigator for DOE’s Lidar Buoy Program, Wind Forecasting Improvement Project Phase 3 (WFIP3), and Observationally Driven Resource Assessment with Coupled Models (ORACLE).
