Mike Spector is currently the Grid Manager for US Offshore at Mainstream Renewable Energy focused on developing solutions to interconnect offshore wind farms to the North American power grid. Mike has over 21 years of power industry experience. He began his career at electric utility Central Hudson Gas & Electric where he spent 10 years in substation design, transmission planning and energy efficiency. Mike then moved to General Electric as a design / system engineer for energy storage systems for over three years and onshore wind grid integration for over 7 years. Mike has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Binghamton University, a Master of Business Administration from Mount Saint Mary's College and Master of Power Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
