Dale Trockel received his Ph.D. In applied mathematics from the University of California, Davis. At CODAR Dale has filled the role of the principal investigator (PI) on three government-funded projects, including two projects funded by BOEM, to investigate the impact of wind turbine interference on coastal HFR and develop mitigation software. He was also the PI on a project funded by NOWRDC to use machine learning techniques to remove wind turbine interference from HFR data. Additionally, at CODAR, Dale has helped develop vessel detection software using HFR radars and led the development of CODARs vessel tracking software.
