Mohamed Elkhatib is the Power Systems Studies Leader for the Americas Region at Arup. Mohamed is an experienced power system engineer with more than twelve years of professional experience in transmission planning, renewable generation interconnection, grid standards compliance, dynamic stability analysis, short circuit analysis, model development, distribution system analysis and microgrid research. Mohamed has led and conducted transmission planning and renewable generation interconnection studies for different jurisdictions in the United States including ISO-NE, SPP, PJM, NYISO, GTC and ITC. Additionally, he led and conducted generation interconnection studies in Canada and Australia and has supported several generation developers through the generation interconnection processes in different jurisdictions. Mohamed is a Senior IEEE member and a registered professional engineer in the province of Ontario.
