Matt Holland is the Sales Manager Americas at XOCEAN, and is responsible for developing business opportunities in the region for sustainable ocean data collection using USVs. Matt studied geomatics engineering technology at the College of Geographic Sciences and has worked in the marine industry since 1999. He started his career as an offshore surveyor and later joined CARIS as part of the Customer Service department. He transitioned into sales and business development roles where he held various positions at CARIS with responsibilities for customer accounts in the Asia region, Canada, and Australia and New Zealand. Matt has worked directly with various national hydrographic offices, survey companies, and others with interests in the marine environment to implement marine GIS solutions to support hydrographic survey, nautical charting and spatial data sharing. In his current role with XOCEAN Matt focuses on the provision of ocean data through a safe, efficient and low carbon approach.
