Justin J Bedard, MA, joined SEARCH in 2021 as World Heritage Sector Lead with 16 years of experience in cultural heritage management and archaeology. Mr. Bedard is responsible for managing cultural heritage impact assessments and developing cultural heritage management programs for major capital projects that align client activities with relevant international standards and host country laws, manage client’s cultural heritage risks, and maximizes the potential benefits from effective cultural heritage management. Mr. Bedard has directed the cultural heritage components of environmental and social impacts assessments (ESIAs) and due diligences (ESDDs) and developed and implemented cultural heritage management programs (CHMPs)/chance finds procedures (CFPs) in Europe, Africa, Asia, North America, Central America and the Caribbean, and South America. Domestically, Mr. Bedard manages archaeological surveys, site assessments and investigations as well as National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) Section 106 consultations for federal clients and supporting private sector consultations with Native American Tribes.
