Stephanie Watson is the Offshore Wind Program Manager for the State of Maine in the Governor's Energy Office. Watson leads development of the Offshore Wind Roadmap that seeks to create an offshore wind industry that works for Maine’s people, Maine’s economy, and Maine’s heritage. Topics of focus include the alignment of offshore wind energy research and technology development, supply chain and workforce opportunities, energy markets, and co-existence with fisheries and the environment,
Watson has worked at the interface of the ocean and economy for the last 25 years in roles in government and the private sector. Watson has M.S. degrees in Ecology and Environmental Science and in Spatial Information Science & Engineering from the University of Maine. She lives near Portland with her husband and two children.
