Lisa Berry Engler is the Director of the Massachusetts Office of Coastal Zone Management (CZM) which is the lead on ocean and coastal policy and planning for the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs. As Director, Lisa oversees agency program areas including municipal technical assistance, ocean management, local and regional coordination, coastal shoreline/floodplain management and climate resilience, as well as CZM’s regulatory responsibilities. Recent priorities have focused on implementing climate adaptation in the 78 coastal communities, coordinating the planning and review of offshore wind development in the MA/RI WEAs and the Gulf of Maine, and port and harbor area planning. Lisa has worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts since 2005. She attended Colby College as an undergraduate and Duke University for her graduate work.
