Safety is of paramount importance to the offshore wind industry. This panel, which includes offshore wind developers, a government regulator, and a representative providing a global perspective, will provide an overview of safety risks in offshore wind and discuss options and opportunities to get ahead of those risks to ensure as offshore wind continues to grow in the U.S. that the work is done safely. You will hear about what we can learn in the U.S. from the European experience. And, you’ll learn about existing and forthcoming standards, guidelines and recommended practices from ACP and others that will support the safe deployment of offshore wind.
