When and where?

The OTA Annual Meeting will take place October 12-15, 2022 at the Tampa Convention Center. The Convention Center is located at 333 S Franklin St, Tampa, FL 33602.

PRESENTATIONS
Are the sessions videotaped?
Attendees may purchase ON-DEMAND ACCESS to approximately 25 hours of vital 2022 OTA Meeting Content and earn CME on your schedule with OTA Annual Meeting On-Demand. Not all sessions will berecorded. Order in Person: Located in the Concourse, at the West Registration area or order online: OTA On-Demand

Will there be handouts available for the presentations?
Handouts will not be available for presentations.

Will there be live video streaming of the meeting?

No portion of the meeting will be live streamed. If you cannot attend, you have the option to purchase the On-Demand product and watch select recorded presentations.

Where is the Resident Course taking place?

The OTA Residents Comprehensive Fracture Course will be held at the Tampa Marriott Water Street Hotel and runs concurrent to the Annual Meeting Wednesday through Friday. The address for the Tampa Marriott Water Street Hotel is 505 Water St, Tampa, FL 33602

What are the registration hours?
Tuesday 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

How can I register for the Annual Meeting and Pre-Meeting events?

Registration in now open, click here to register now. By registering on or before September 11, 2022, you will receive discounted early-bird rates. Annual Meeting registration does not include pre-meeting events. You must register and pay for each pre-meeting event you wish to attend. Early registration ends September 11th. After this date, meeting prices are raised for the Annual Meeting as well as pre-meeting events.

What is included in my registration?

Each registration fee includes all group continental breakfasts, coffee breaks, receptions, registration materials as well as general and concurrent educational sessions.

What else do I need to know about registration?

  • Register online only.
  • If you have outstanding dues, you will be charged the non-member rate. You must pay your dues first to access the member rate.
  • Pre-meeting events are not added automatically to your registration. You must select them individually (additional fees required).
  • You are permitted to register for more than one concurrent pre-meeting event, but you are responsible for managing your attendance to overlapping events.
  • International Registrants - please call your financial institution to authorize the charges before you complete registration, as your bank might decline the transaction under the Fraud Protection Program.
  • International Registrants – if you select pre-meeting only and International Trauma Care Forum you will not be able to attend the Annual Meeting. You must choose the Annual Meeting and International Trauma Care Forum to attend both. 
    International Presenters - contact schreiber@ota.org for assistance obtaining a letter of invitation.
  • Receptions are included with your registration fee. You must purchase a companion ticket if you plan to bring a guest to the Welcome Reception.
  • Once registration is complete, you may add the event to your calendar and print your invoice via links on the confirmation page. 
  • Badge sharing is not allowed. Charges for lost and reprinted badges will apply.

What if I need to cancel my registration due to travel restrictions?

OTA incurs significant expenses prior to the event. In order to minimize losses, it is necessary to implement below policy. Cancellations must be received via e-mail: ota@ota.org. 

Deadline: October 7, 2022
Full refund less $100 administrative fee. No refunds will be provided after this date.

Refunds will not be granted for no-shows for pre-meeting events or the Annual Meeting.

Can I purchase a one-day badge?

Yes. However, you may only purchase a one-day badge on site.

Do you offer a waitlist option for sessions with limited seating?

No. These sessions are on a first come, first-served basis.

Does the Annual Meeting offer CME? If so, how many credits are available?

All Annual Meeting live activities have been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). The Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA) is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Will CMEs be transferred to my AAOS transcript?

Yes, if the OTA has your AAOS ID number; CME credits will be sent to AAOS by December 1, 2022.

How do I make hotel reservations?

Discounted room rates have been secured for the conference at area hotels for OTA attendees. Conference Direct is the only approved housing agency for the OTA 37th Annual Meeting. If you are contacted by anyone other than Conference Direct, do not reserve with them; they are not endorsed by OTA. Please click here to make your reservation today. Changes and cancellations must be made prior to September 19, 2022.

How do I obtain an invite letter to apply for a Visa?

Where are the Fellowship Information Sessions being held?

Fellowship Information Sessions will be held at the Tampa Marriott Water Street Hotel and run concurrent to the Annual Meeting Wednesday through Friday. The address for the Tampa Marriott Water Street Hotel is 505 Water St, Tampa, FL 33602.

I am a resident applicant and only plan to attend the Fellowship Information Sessions. Do I need to register for the Annual Meeting?

No, there is no badge required to attend the sessions as they are located at the Tampa Marriott Water Street Hotel.

How do I become a member?
Visit www.ota.org to apply online. Next deadline: November 15, 2022

Where is the continental breakfast?
Wednesday & Thursday available in the pre-meeting sessions
Thursday & Friday 7:00 - 8:00 am available during the Industry Sessions
Saturday 7:30 - 8:00 am – West Exhibit Hall Foyer

Where are refreshment breaks and lunches located?
Exhibit Hall - East Hall
Where are the committee meetings?
Committee Meetings are located on the 4th level of the Convention Center.

LOST AND FOUND

Any lost and found items will be taken to the registration desk located at the West Registration area.

FIRST AID

The first aid station is located in the rear of East Hall. It is open during meeting hours.Mother’s Room is located at the Hospitality Suite / Level 1 – Near Chanel Entry doors. (Available Wednesday - Friday)

OTA Health and Safety

OTA is monitoring the ongoing COVID-19 developments and policy changes and will follow policies and safety precautions in place at the time of the conference. We are working closely with our meeting planning professionals to ensure a safe environment that meets local, state, building, and CDC Guidelines. Parking
