Christy Dryer, DNP, RN, CNE is the Vice-President of Academic Programs for Cecil College, located in Maryland. Prior to her current role, she served as Dean of Nursing and Health Professions at Cecil College, full-time and adjunct nursing faculty, a hospital educator and a medical/surgical nurse. Christy has been active in health care and education, serving on several boards and professional organizations, as well as the President of the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (OADN). Christy has advocated for nursing and nursing education, co-authored several position statements, testified at the Maryland state legislature and lobbied on behalf of OADN in Washington DC. Christy currently serves on the Quality and Safety committee of Christiana Care Health System, the University of Maryland Doctor of Nursing Practice Advisory Board, the Christina Care Union Hospital Board of Directors, and is the president of the OADN foundation.
