Nell has been in nursing for 37 years and in nursing education for 32 of those years. She has taught in diploma; associate; baccalaureate; and master’s degree programs. Nell has a PhD in Nursing Clinical Research, a master’s degree in family nursing, and a baccalaureate degree in nursing. Nell has served a variety of leadership roles throughout her career including charge nurse on multiple nursing units, level coordinator in a baccalaureate nursing program, Curriculum Committee chair, and as a Program Director for an associate degree program for 12 years. She has been a professional staff member with the ACEN since 2012 and is currently now a Director. Nell has been a Certified Nurse Educator since 2007 and a Fellow in the Academy of Nurse Educators since 2009. Nell has served on a variety of state-wide and national committees related to nursing education and has extensive publications including articles and book chapters.
