Kim Uddo is a Professor at Delgado Community College -Charity School of Nursing, with 20 years of teaching experience. She teaches nursing in the final nursing course before students graduate. With a critical care nursing background of 40 years, Kim enjoys teaching in the critical care component of the course. She has written and received several endowed professor awards, with the most recent for her pilot study on resilience-building in level four students. She is a Workplace Wellness Specialist and has taken mindfulness training masterclasses. She led the faculty in her program through philosophy edits and curriculum changes to promote nurse well-being and resilience. She also led the creation of a well-being commitment statement for submission to the National Academy of Medicine’s Action Collaboration for Well-Being.
