Angie Koller, Retired Dean and Professor from Ivy Tech Community College-Indianapolis, graduated from Purdue in 1989 with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. University of Phoenix on line with an MSN in 2002, and completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice in 2014 from Touro University. Primary clinical practice was in medical-surgical nursing. Career at Ivy Tech began in fall of 1996 as an adjunct instructor in the clinical area and has spanned to position as Dean and Professor, currently an adjunct professor. Has taught across the curriculum. Experience in leadership has included working with different grant opportunities including a community job-based grant that help to create different avenues for student to achieve their nursing degree, a faculty development grant in partnership with other 4 years schools that focused on faculty development for simulation. Lead the campus in a national research study that helped to establish guidelines for integration of simulation in nursing curriculum. Has served as a site visitor for accreditation visits for the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. Has interest in curriculum development. Has partnered with clinical agency of unique partnerships. Most recently with Ascension Health’s apprenticeship program, assisting with mapping curriculum, serving as the liaison between the healthcare system and the school, assisting with clinical scheduling, and tracking student progress. Currently is a colloborator with Nightingale College, as an assistant professor.
