Dr. Christi D. Doherty is the Executive Director of Nursing Innovation & Research at Kaplan North America. Dr. Doherty is a skilled researcher, valued professor of nursing, experienced clinical nurse, and designer of virtual simulations. She has earned certifications in nursing education (CNE), healthcare simulation education (CHSE), diversity professional (CDP), and inpatient obstetrics (C-OB). Dr. Doherty has published several books and journal articles on diverse subjects such as clinical judgment, mentorship, simulation, and students' engagement in statistics and informatics. Dr. Doherty has over 20 years of clinical practice experience and over ten years of nursing education experience in undergraduate and doctoral programs. Dr. Doherty holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree, an M.S. in Nursing Ed and BSN, and an ADN.
