Melissa Setser, DNP, RN, CPNP-PC
Melissa Setser is an Associate Professor of Nursing in the Associate Degree Nursing Program at the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College. She has been a nurse educator for 12 years and a nurse for 27 years working in specialty areas of oncology, home health care, and pediatrics. She obtained her Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification in 2013 and obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2021. The combination of Melissa’s nursing career, training, and experience working in higher education has provided her the expertise to engage critical thinking in students, promote active participation in learning, and evaluate methods to improve curriculum outcomes. She teaches in the classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical settings. Melissa instructs pediatrics/family in the fall and medical surgical in the spring within the respective courses of the program.
