Cameo has been a professional ASL/English Interpreter for 18 years. She began educating interpreters at the college level 7 years ago. Cameo developed the first interdisciplinary training and simulation with several other colleges, including the Phoenix College School of Nursing. she was awarded the 2018 Innovation of the Year for her efforts. Cameo continues her teaching and advocacy work with the Arizona Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing as their lead interpreter and Interpreter Professional Development Specialist. she lives in Phoenix, AZ with her husband, two teenage sons, and a slew of pets.
